Bug Description

I am using Karmic 64 bit and I have an Ubuntu One Accout that is IMO attributed to <email address hidden>. But I fusioned <email address hidden> with <email address hidden>, so this account shouldn't exist anymore. Anyway launchpad asks me if I want to sign in on Launchpad by the alias which is correct. But if I click the "Sign In" button this same page is reloaded and nothing has changed. It is meanwhile impossible to connect to Ubuntu One too. Hope that there is somehow a solution for the problem :)

fretchen: Can you please delete any cookies you have for Launchpad and then try this again? I believe this might be a known problem, which deleting Launchpad cookies solves. (You will have to log in to Launchpad again after doing this.) Thanks!

This doesn't work. I login bye <email address hidden> and then I reenter into the decribed loop again. Even deleting any cookies with ubuntu one etc. doesn't help. But if I go on login.launchpad.net I get the information that I was logged in to one.ubuntu.com today. So it seems like I am authentificated, but then it blocks.

Hi fretchen,

Does your login (that is caught in an endless sign-in loop) subscribe to an Ubuntu One plan already? It doesn't sound like it would since merging the accounts causes Ubuntu One to see your new login as a new user (I think). I think this is a duplicate of another bug and I'm going to mark it as such. That other bug is a critical one that we're currently trying hard to nail down the root cause.

Thank you,

Joshua
