-------
I tested this with other hardware/software combinations too:
1)
Ubuntu 9.04 + Radeon 2400HD (proprietary driver): works
2)
Ubuntu 9.10 + Radeon Xpress 200M: does not work and complains "org.lwjgl. opengl. OpenGLException : Invalid enum (1280)". Jmonkey engine wiki says that this error is usually caused by too old driver. The driver is radeon driver version 1:6.12. 99+git20090929. 7968e1fb- 0ubuntu1.
3)
Ubuntu 9.10 + Intel GMA 950: Crashes as reported
4)
Windows XP + Intel GMA 950 (test #3 is run using the same machine): works well

Please take a look and fix this crash-problem.
