I tested this with other hardware/software combinations too:

1)

Ubuntu 9.04 + Radeon 2400HD (proprietary driver): works

2)

Ubuntu 9.10 + Radeon Xpress 200M: does not work and complains "org.lwjgl.opengl.OpenGLException: Invalid enum (1280)". Jmonkey engine wiki says that this error is usually caused by too old driver. The driver is radeon driver version 1:6.12.99+git20090929.7968e1fb-0ubuntu1.

3)

Ubuntu 9.10 + Intel GMA 950: Crashes as reported

4)

Windows XP + Intel GMA 950 (test #3 is run using the same machine): works well

-----

Please take a look and fix this crash-problem.

Strange, I reinstalled ubuntu 9.10 (instead of upgrading) and now jmonkeyengine demos run fine.

Hi sampie,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I did a fresh install of Karmic and I haven't experienced the problem ever since.
