Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

I am not sure if this is a problem with Eclipse or Ubuntu. But the eclipse 3.5 worked fine on the earlier version 9.04 of Ubuntu.

This is when I use tried using Spring STS or the Eclipse IDE on Ubuntu 9.10 beta.

I tried adding a new JRE library in Spring STS 2.1.0/ Eclipse (3.5)Galileo.

When I click on the "Finish" button nothing happens. The click is not recognized.

I am attaching a screenshot of the same.

Something similar happens when I try to enable/disable repositories from the available update sites.

It seems there is a bad interaction between swt and gtk 2.18 (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=287307)
Installing Eclipse 3.6M2 did the trick for me. You could also try the latest 3.5 integration builds (I believe 3.5.1 doesn't have the fix, according to the dates of the comments in the afore-mentioned bug report).

I just tried 3.5.1, indeed it does *not* contain the fix.

dobey (dobey)
affects: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) → eclipse (Ubuntu)

It is fixed in the Ubuntu package, but not in the package provided by upstream. This bug is a duplicate of bug #443004.

Latest 3.5 integration build (M20091014-0800) does *not* work either. So it seems currently only the 3.6 branch is working.
