Korganiser has an option to show a system tray icon for the reminder daemon. This is selected, but no icon appears and the daemon (korgac) is not running. I don't know how/if/whether this has some interaction with Akonadi (what *is* that, exactly?) but the akonadi server does not start at startup either. Starting it manually does not seem to make any difference.
The upshot is that remiders I set in Korganizer only work if Korganizer is always running - this is not right, the daemon should take care of it.
Hi Mark!
Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https:/ /bugs.kde. org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.
Thanks!
