hi. did you install 9.10 clean or did you upgrade from 9.04?

I had the same problem. now not any more. I did following;

-deinstalled me-tv from the synaptics package manager (and remove comple configuration)
-then I reinstalled without using it!
-I when to page www.klear.org and clicked on "channels.conf" and looked for the country I am in. copied and pasted in a text editor and saved under "documents or whatever" with the name "channels.conf" (without quotes).
-open me-tv. it´s gonna ask you to setup the tv listings. take the 2nd option and browse to find where u saved the channels.conf file! and that´s it! it works now fine for me!

oops! just seen you have amd64, is that right?

I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10.

I've tried to deinstall me-tv (sudo aptitude purge me-tv), remove my personal config (rm -rf ~/.me-tv) and install it again (sudo aptitude install me-tv), and same thing happens.

I've built it from sources, same thing happens.

Then tried removing it, and installing an older package (me-tv_0.7.16-1_amd64.deb), same thing.

And yes, I have an 64bits system.

I have never seen or heard of this issue before. I think that the issue is not Me TV, I think that there's something not right about your GTK/GNOME setup. The error in the backtrace indicates that /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libglobalmenu-gnome.so is where the error manifests itself.

Have you had any further luck with it?

I've just tried to uninstall gnome-globalmenu-applet and it runs again so it seems to be globalmenu fault. The strangest thing is that me-tv is the only app failing to me, and that's why I assumed it should be a me-tv problem. I'll check with them and reopen this if needed.

I'm going to assume that this is not a Me TV issue rather an issue with and upgrade that didn't quite work 100%. Let me know if this is not he case.
