Bug Description

How to reproduce:

1. start kk with kernel 2.6.31-12 or -13
2. activate compiz if not
3. see desktop is slower
4. start glxgears
5. drag its windows on desktop: see dragging is very slow

if you start with 2.6.31-11 there is no issue.

It is because this?

* Revert "drm/i915: Check that the relocation points to within the
    target"
  * Revert "drm/i915: fix tiling on IGDNG"

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately.]

This bug was reported against the linux-meta package when it likely should have been reported against the linux package instead. We are automatically transitioning this to the linux kernel package so that the appropriate teams are notified and made aware of this issue.

If this bug really is a bug in the linux-meta package you can move it back to linux-meta and set the Status to Confirmed, or contact us on the #ubuntu-kernel channel on the FreeNode IRC server. Thanks.

affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) → linux (Ubuntu)

this is dmesg | grep 915 of 2.6.32-2 kernel. the errore is the same in 2.6.31-* but 2.6.32 is not affected by this bug (also 2.6.31-11 is not)

Guiodic, did you subscribe all these people yourself? I unsubscribed the intel-gfx-testing and xorg-edgers teams for now.
