Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
For some reason, after a reboot, no window manager would load on startup. Every time I would have to open a terminal, use the metacity --replace command, then compiz. The only workaround I've found is to add compiz to the startup applications.

I have the same problem with metacity.
I also use Ubuntu 9.04.
After a reboot metacity does not start but only at my account. The other accounts doesn't have this problem.
"Automatisch die laufenden Programme beim abmelden merken" (save with program runs on shutdown and start this programs the next time) is disabeled and metacity is my standard windows-manager.
I had the same problem a few month ago also with Ubuntu 9.04. It was exactly the same, also with the user-üproblem, that only at one user is the problem.
