Bug Description

Binary package hint: vpnc

When attempting to activate a VPNC connection under Karmic on AMD64, it fails with:
NetworkManager: <info> Starting VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc'...
NetworkManager: <info> VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc' started (org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc), PID 15621
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist, it will be ignored in a future release.

(process:15621): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: specified class size for type `NMVPNCPlugin' is smaller than the parent type's `NMVPNPlugin' class size

(process:15621): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed

(process:15621): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_new: assertion `G_TYPE_IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed
NetworkManager: <WARN> vpn_service_watch_cb(): VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc' exited with error: 1
NetworkManager: <info> Policy set 'NIUvpn' (wlan0) as default for routing and DNS.
NetworkManager: <info> VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc' did not start in time, cancelling connections

This does not occur on i386; only amd64 is affected.
