Mouse clicks in Eclipse not registering in wizard

In Eclipse I cannot complete any project wizard, the clicks from the mouse only highlight the buttons then I need to hit space to get through them.

Its eclipse Ganymede - J2EE version in tarball format from elipse.org.

I first thought it was the bug here:

I'm having the exact same problem. Also using 64bit Karmic upgraded from Jaunty.

Forgot to mention, here it's the Galileo version of eclipse classic (3.5.1).

This bug occurs on a couple of other dialogs (besides the project creation wizard).

Seems to be a duplicate of #443004.
