How did you perform the upgrade? Was it update-manager? Or apt-get? Or some other method? Is this reproducable?

Hi, thank you for looking into this.

The problem occurred in KPackageKit..
Later when I experimented with adept, it reported a problem with some library
not being available and suggested to try install -f. After I did that, the
upgrade went without that problem.
