Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

I upgraded to Karmic from Jaunty. When I try to open a PDF, I get the error "Unable to Open Document", "File type unknown (application/octet-stream) is not supported".

Reinstalling evince did not help. The documents (this bug is for all PDFs) open fine with Acrobat 9 and opened in Jaunty.
