Bug Description

Binary package hint: cryptsetup

My root filesystem gets mounted (via passphrase), but other partitions fail: they are meant to be opened via key-file in /etc/crypttab.
This used to work some days ago, but started to fail a few days ago (first via bug 444563, now an incarnation of bug 442495 - since the UUIDs are never created).

Assigning to mountall: I've commented out the entries from encryted devices in fstab, and it's still mountall that hangs on boot.
Just tried with the latest mountall from the boot ppa.. I could provide screenshots, but the camera has to get recharged first - so maybe tomorrow or on monday.

affects: cryptsetup (Ubuntu) → mountall (Ubuntu)

If there's nothing in fstab, I can't see why mountall would hang - provide your fstab and mountall debug output

Daniel: you've filed an enormous number of bugs, and frankly I'm completely at a loss where to begin. It would help greatly if you could actually explain in detail what problem(s) you're having, because right now I'm not sure I can help you

affects: mountall (Ubuntu) → cryptsetup (Ubuntu)

Closing as Invalid: my system finally boots again, and this issue appears to have been caused by a fsck (which I could not see, since info about it was dumped to another VT - followed by other errors/warnings).

Changed in cryptsetup (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
