Bug Description

I'm testing 9.10 beta. The issue was as follows:

Actual behaviour:
1) suspend netbook
2) 15-20 minutes later try to resume
3) Hard drive spins up, but no activity. No other discernible activity.
4) Forced to restart

Expected behaviour:
1) suspend netbook
2) 15-20 minutes later try to resume
3) netbook resumes quickly and is ready to go.

I'd happy to collect any more information about the bug---just let me know what I need to do.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly.

Hi all,

Please, can you tell us whether this is still an issue for you? If not, please, consider update this bug as 'Fix Released', else, can you please, fill a little form, with questions contained in this wiki? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume

It will definitely help developers to find the fix or help you to detect that you don't really have real bug. Please, pay special attention to the "Encrypted Home-Swap" issue and the flashing caps-lock.

Information below, will also help you

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UnderstandingSuspend

I'd also encourage you to try this tests https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting to gather more information to developers

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I actually just found the source of the bug; it was a hardware failure. So, you can go ahead and close out the bug report (I can't see a way for me to do that).

Thanks for the help,
--Jason

Thanks for your comment.

Since there are some duplicates, and more reporters involved, I'd like to doble check before closing.

@Rui,

Please, can you confirm that your hardware is exactly the same as the original reporter? If so, also I'd like to confirm your current Ubuntu and kernel version.

Thanks
