eclipse 3.5.1-0~ubuntu1 does not provide a eclipse-source package.

Could I have you try and download and install it to see if it fixes the problem

I have not made the tar extract to the root dir itself, so you have to either ask tar to do that manually or move the files manually post extraction.

I tried adding the eclipse_feat_sources files but it didn't change anything.

For me the following changed:
since this mornings update, the new Plugin-Style help system is released.
Thats why eclipse doesnt find the help directory anymore (its now seperated in .jar files)

I tried something completely different - a complete reinstall

After purging and deleting everything with "*eclipse*" in my filesystem, i have this setup
(Help->Software Setup -> Manage Configuration):
Eclipse SDK
-> /usr/lib/eclipse

Included feature "Eclipse Platform" version "3.5.1.R35x_v20090910-9gEeG1_FtDlT8tHxnXfWaifOo2mSXiz-QqDGB7" contains problems.

Included feature "org.eclipse.platform.source_3.5.1.R35x_v20090910-9gEeG1_FtDlT8tHxnXfWaifOo2mSXiz-QqDGB7" is missing.

Included feature "org.eclipse.cvs_1.1.101.R35x_v20090811-7E79FEd9KKF5H2UEPDBJ9L01A16" is missing.

Included feature "org.eclipse.cvs.source_1.1.101.R35x_v20090811-7E79FEd9KKF5H2UEPDBJ9L01A16" is missing.

I was able to tolve the *.source problems with your tar archive, but the other problems remain.

!!WORKAROUND!!

editing /usr/lib/eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.update/platform.xml
and removing all failed entries listed in Help->Software Setup -> Manage Configuration solved the problem

Hi

We have fixed this in 3.5.1-0ubuntu3. You may have to remove your ~/.eclipse for it to work.
