Bug Description

Binary package hint: usplash

updated to Linux 2.6.31-12-generic.
Initially on booting the terminal would flicker and there was a message 'nvdia fail'.
Now can't boot into recovery-mode or older kernel versions.
Grub message:
error:invalid environment block
Press any key to contine.

Information attached is from 9.04.

Confirmed, got this bug too with Dell Inspiron 9100 - Karmic 32-bit (fully upgraded)

Though this is not a usplash bug.
This is a grub-1.97-beta3-1ubuntu8 bug.
