Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.10 beta fails to respond to mouse clicks during the installation phase and after the live CD boots. The mouse pointer is visible, moves and activates objects it is passed over (ie colour change) but will not respond to mouse clicks.
This occurs on my laptop of unknown manufacturer (it is about 2 years old with an Intel 2 core processor and 2 Gb memory. Ubuntu 9.04 runs fine. The same live CD runs fine on my desktop PC.
