Bug Description

The website was synchronized with my laptop at one point. It no longer it, I deleted everything from my machine and those files were not deleted from the site.

Adding files to my machine does not cause them to be copied to the website (sometimes I see a balloon stating that files are being copied, sometime I don't).

This may be a duplicate of 392417, I wasn't sure.

I did notice, a couple of days ago, that my ~/Ubuntu\ One directory was renamed to <something>.conflict.

tonyw@leeds:~$ find ~/Ubuntu\ One
/home/tonyw/Ubuntu One
/home/tonyw/Ubuntu One/two.pdf
/home/tonyw/Ubuntu One/note.txt
/home/tonyw/Ubuntu One/Linux tux-large.jpg
/home/tonyw/Ubuntu One/Shared With Me
/home/tonyw/Ubuntu One/Monday

I've attached a screen shot of the web contents.

A datapoint: I un-installed all ubuntuone software, deleted all files in my home directory that contained "ubuntuone" in the filename and then reinstalled.

Things seem to be working.

Aye, same problem. I have tried to upload a file system, but anything more than one directory deep seems to be missed. The web interface is very inconsistent. I'm not sure how to go about debugging this...

I have a similar problem. None of my files are getting uploaded to web anymore... It could be that they are not being uploaded because they are not in the root ubuntuone folder. The icon also says "updating" forever... I am on 9.10 beta.

I stated that I managed to get things working by cleaning out my ubuntuone configuration and reinstalling. That worked well for about 4 days. I had been slowly adding things to ~/Ubuntu\ One and they would show up eventually on the website. Now I seem to be back in the same state as before. New items in ~/Ubuntu\ One never show up on the site. No balloons indicating work being done.

I'm willing to keep my system in this state if it could provide any information to help debug this.

Hi Tony,

Again, my apologies for missing this bug initially. We've been having some problems on the server side that could be causing the issues you're now seeing. One thing that could help us tell what's going on a bit more is if you attach ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log to this bug report. Note that attaching syncdaemon.log will show filenames you are attempting to sync with Ubuntu One. If you do not want this to be public, please mark the bug as private and this bug report will only be available to you and the Ubuntu One team.

Thank you,

Joshua

The file is ubuntuone.syncdaemon.log, I should have named it
ubuntuone.syncdaemon.log.tar.gz

I upgraded to the latest yesterday (2009-10-19), the client doesn't seem to have a "about" button - so I can't report the version.
Things started to synchronize.

I shut down my machine to bring it home, it has not synchronized since. So this is still an issue for me.
