Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

My regular laptop screen resolution is 1280x800. I have an external monitor with a native resolution of 1680x1050. When I switch to using just the external monitor (through Fn+F8) the desktop background appears to be wrongly sized, as it thinks the resolution is actually much larger - the aspect ratio of the background thumbnails and the virtual desktop thumbnails confirms this (see screenshot). And actually, taking a screenshot of the whole desktop confirm this.

Thank you for your bug report, do you use nautilus to draw your background there?

I'm afraid I don't really understand the question. How would I know if I use nautilus to draw my background, and where do you mean?

This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody experiencing it could send the bug the to the people writing the software. You can learn more about how to do this for various upstreams at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME . Thanks in advance!
