Bug Description

Binary package hint: boinc

After downloading the 9.10 beta, there has been a significant slowdown of the einstein@home applications. I noticed during the beta load that ia32-libs (version 2.7ubuntu15) was updated, this package is critical to the execution of the einstein apps. I double checked all other settings, ia32-libs seems the likely candidate. I ran the bench mark built into the BOINC manager and the scores are the same before and after the beta update. These bench marks do not use the ia32-libs package which indicates to me the computer (P55 MB + core i7-860) is running fine.

This sounds like a regression / bug with ia32-libs, but not with boinc - maybe the package of the bug report should get changed.

Is this still an issue (e.g. with the upcoming 10.04)? Also, 9.10 has ia32-libs version 2.7ubuntu17 currently.
What version of ia32-libs have you been using before?
If it's still regressed - is there a better test case?
