Video call not working for Gtalk

Binary package hint: empathy

Empathy won't send or receive video between Gtalk accounts. Audio chat works fine. I'm on Karmic beta, Empathy 2.28.0.

I experience the same thing. Attached is a log generated (as described here http://www.jonobacon.org/2009/10/02/ubuntu-9-10-karmic-koala-beta-released-testers-needed/).
What we did during this session was first i made a video call which failed, then my friend tried to make a few video calls that all failed, then we made an audio call and started talking and i tried to press the webcam button which also failed (but we could continue talking).

Hope this is of some value. (I'm also on the Beta)

Yep, that was pretty much my procedure too. moonlite, would you mind
confirming this bug for me?

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)
