Adept wastes bandwidth

Bug Description

When updating package lists, Adept also fetches items from deb-src lines in sources.list. As far as I can tell, Adept makes no use of these, in which case this feature probably costs the archive servers gigabytes per day of bandwidth unnecessarily, to say nothing of lost bandwidth on the client side.

I am being serious. I'd be happy to hear the logic behind the rejection, phrased more compatibly with the CoC. My thinking is that adept should only use 'deb' lines from sources.list to avoid the waste.

So to comply with CoC: patches would be welcome, but adept 3.0 is far far away and probably won't use any of that code and adept 2.0 is frozen atm. There is a chance if you submit patches they could go to 2.1. Not downloading them also means being inconsistent with apt-get. I suppose you can go and figure any remaining problems for yourself. The logic behind rejection is that i don't intend to waste any more time on this "bug" => i am not going to fix it => no need to pretentiously keep it "open". Happy now?

Your unnecessarily disrespectful comments do make the reasons behind the rejection clear. Thanks and have a great day.

apt/adept doesn't check for sources if the source repositories are not enabled. Please make sure all lines in /etc/apt/sources.list that start with deb-src are commented out. (Alternately, in adept go to Adept>Manage Repositories and right click to disable them)

I understand that it wouldn't happen if I didn't have deb-src lines in sources.list. What I'm saying is that I should be able to have my deb-src lines without adept wasting bandwidth by updating thoses lists.
