Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

while installing 9.10 beta on a machine containing windows xp and windows 7, the installer only offers to import user profiles from the windows 7 installation - the wizard does not display any profiles from the xp installation.

the machine in question has windows xp and 7 installed, with 7 being installed after xp, so the boot loader in question is the windows 7 boot loader (which successfully boots both 7 and xp).

im not sure whether this is a bug or a feature request - its possible the install script were never meant to parse windows 7 multiboot records in order to detect the presence of additional windows installs

FYI: it doesn't offer to import profiles from 8.04 (installed on sdb) or an existing 9.10 install either.

liveCD karmic beta
9.10 installed on sda
8.04 installed on sdb
Using liveCD to test installs over the existing 9.10 (fails but that's for another bug report) and import user profiles window is blank & shows: There were no users or operation systems suitable for importing from.

Karmic reached end of life some time ago, are you able to reproduce this on 12.04+?
