[Feature Request] Disable font previews in drop-down menu

Pretty much like the title says. Because the previewing takes large amounts of CPU, folks with large font collections tend to have this menu become very unresponsive. I think the ability to disable the preview would be nice.

In addition to the system fonts on Ubuntu, 196 in ~/.fonts. (and that's not all I normally use) :)

Yes. Thats what I was thinking. Just a simple on/off users with large font collections could toggle so as to speed up the drop-downs responsiveness.
