Apparently this has been fixed in release 1.4.2-3 but this hasn't made it into Karmic yet.

installing PPA for Mactel Support from https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support/+archive/ppa
solved this issue for me on a Macbook Pro 4.1 with 10.5.8

I took raketenman's suggestion and tried version 1.5.90 of isight-firmware-tools from this PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support/+archive/ppa

The installation went smoothly, and video works.

I'm on a MBPro2,2.

i still have this error with mactel-support ppa
