Bug Description
The karmic beta release notes emphasized the importance of reporting any console messages that appear prior to the bootsplash screen during startup.
I consistently see the following during boot, prior to the splash screen:
[ 10.126427] render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010
[ 10.126431] page table error
[ 10.126433] PGTBL_ER: 0x00000100
[ 10.126437] [drm:i915_
[ 10.126445] render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010
[ 10.126446] page table error
[ 10.126448] PGTBL_ER: 0x00000100
It doesn't otherwise seem to have any adverse affect.

I get the same error message during boot-up, however I don't get any page table errors, simply the rendering error:
render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010 handle_ error] *ERROR* EIR stuck: 0x00000010, masking
[drm:i915_
render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010
Then I see a few of the standard boot messages such as "loading AppArmor profiles" and I am eventually shown the new boot splash-screen.
