Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

Expected behaviour:
Start Firefox web browser for the first time. Open a web page with some flash content. Get a prompt in Firefox to install flash plug-in.

Observed behaviour:
Started Firefox web browser for the first time. Opened a web page with some flash content. No prompt to install flash plug-in came up. Tried several times with different web pages.

Steps to repeat:
1. Start Firefox when there's no Flash plug-in installed
2. Open a web page with Flash content
3. Observe if the prompt to install Flash plug-in appears.

Ubuntu version: Karmic daily 64-bit 29.9.2009
Firefox version: 3.5.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu3

My error. I had an unnoticed browser window open on another virtual desktop. The Flash plug-in prompt was active there, which obviously prevented it to be shown on any other browser window. Sorry for the wrong alert. Marking the bug as invalid.

well it does affect me... fresh install of 9.04 of UNR.... and then upgraded to 9.10

It says me i lack the plugin and promt me to install it (the ff window to search avaliable compatible plugins)

I press next... and then says it didnt found any compatible plugin. Then redirects me to adobe page
