Bug Description

I can't play videos (i.e., *.flv, *.wmv, *.ogg, etc.) after I attach an external monitor. I hear audio and see the progress bar move as the video plays but there is no video output (only black).

When I remove the external monitor - videos play fine.

I have an hp nc6320 (LCD Screen) and have attached a PLANAR 19" Monitor - both with resolution of 1280x1024.

I have also tried to play the videos using VLC and the result is the same.

Thanks!

Shannon VanWagner

Hi!

I have the same problem here. It's a Dell Inspiron 640m with an Intel® Media Accelerator 950 Graphics. With dual screen enabled, I'm unable to play videos.

I've tried with Totem, VLC and MPlayer, with the same black video with all of them. So IMHO, it's not a gstreamer problem. But if I reproduce a video with mplayer, and select 'X11 (XImage/Shm)' video driver, the video is displayed correctly. The problem appears if 'XV' video driver is selected.

I've attached the lspci -vvnn output.

Cheers!!!
