Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
When trying to connect, having the phone connected via USB cable in "PC Suite" mode, the phone shuts itself down instead of connecting. This happens early in the connection process. The only message displayed by NM is "Disconnected". Using the phone as a 3G modem in this manner works under Windows Vista.
Using Karmic as of today.

The same thing happens with my N79 (not a typo). Connection under jaunty is nearly flawless. I get the "gsm disconnected", and then the phone powers down. This is a show stopper for me, and will stick with Jaunty until fixed.
