Problems started occurring when i added 'mediubuntu' to the package sources list: package smbclient 2:3.3.2-1ubuntu3.1 failed to install/upgrade: short read in buffer_copy (backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/bin/rpcclient')

Binary package hint: samba

Version of Ubuntu: Xubuntu 9.04
Package Version: smbclient 2:3.3.2-1ubuntu3.1

What i expected to happen: Shortly after i added 'mediubuntu' to the package sources list & i reopened it, it said the list was out of date...so i began to update it. Shortly after that it said i had 5 updates to currently installed packages...4 out of 5 updated successfully. The last package, the one i'm reporting failed...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:

sudo apt-get clean

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your issue. If so please set the bug's status to Invalid. Thanks in advance!
