Favorite song for last.fm

I want a 'favorite song' function for Exaile and send this to last.fm

Should be great, players like Amarok are doing that.

If you are referring to the "loved" tracks feature on Last.fm, I would love to see this too.

in my opinion there are many other improvements to do. what do you need a second rating system for? if you plan to integrate it, please do it as a plugin. i don't want to see it as a button in the main system, because i don't need it. thanks.

Thats because maybe you have 10 5star songs, but 2 of them are your favorites.

Ex:
Bar is a great song, 5 stars! No way, but i dont love that song
Foo is another song, 5 stars! Is the best song! My girlfriend sing this song to me or idk.

Should i difference that, no?

On my exp. i have a lot of songs, i dont want rate ALL songs but i can mark my favorite songs.
Maybe the next year, i will choose other kind of songs as favorites... 5 stars too.

And, if i can implement it on last.fm?? Isnt great??

well, in this case rate it with 4 star, so 5 minus 4 makes 1 left for your absolutely loved song... so where is the problem? i only hope that the developers didn't waste time on more or less useless stuff like this. make yourself a plugin for it and everything is fine.

It is not because you don't want a feature that it is useless. I perfectly
agree with the validity of the possibility to sync favourite songs with a
last.fm or libre.fm account.

Or at least trying 6 stars (5 stars + loved star)...

All songs with loved star will be sync with last.fm or other.

We will NOT be merging the existing rating function and a "loved" state. It would be needlessly complex and potentially confusing to users.

That said, providing a "loved" function of some sort is a valid request and will likely be implemented at some point, but it is NOT a priority, so unless someone steps up and gives us a patch for it, it will not happen soon.

This has been fixed with r3808 more than a year ago.

The plugin for this is called "Last.fm Loved Tracks"
