Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu ver.9.04., installed using Wubi. I tried to install Java few days ago, but unfortunately do not remember the details of why it failed, nor any particular error message. It was my first attempt to install a 3d party program under Ubuntu, and I didn't realize what would happen as a result of the failure. Today found that I was unable to update Ubuntu because of the "broken" install. When I marked it for removal, got the message that Ubuntu was unable to remove it. Hope there's someway to get rid of it!.
