Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
I think this error is not linked to update manager but mor with a general gconf problem.
Whenever I start a program I got an error message :
Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://

I tried to purge /tmp with no effect.
Reboot/restart doesn't change anything
