Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
On desktop, all icons of linked files or directories are always sorted. You can move the icons but they stay on that place only till reload (Ctrl-R on desktop) or new nautilus process (logout/login, reboot, killed nautilus etc.)
This is a regression from 8.04. When upgraded to Karmic, the linked files/dirs' icons were sorted.
ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
Date: Thu Oct 1 01:39:40 2009
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus
NonfreeKernelMo
Package: nautilus 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu3
ProcEnviron:
LANGUAGE=C
PATH=(custom, user)
LANG=C
SHELL=/bin/bash
ProcVersionSign
SourcePackage: nautilus
Uname: Linux 2.6.31-11-generic i686
Also I can't set emblems for linked files/dirs. It looks like metadata information (emblems, position, ...) are not stored for linked files and directories.
