dvd playback stops part way through

i have a problem playing dvd's on the new ubuntu karmic.

when i try to play some dvd's it says unable to open location you may not have permission, some dvd's play ok, some dvd's start to play but stop part way through with error unable to read from resources.

i have tried both totem movie player (Default gstreamer version) and vlc.

i have the latest libdvdcss2 package installed as per the medibuntu repos.

any ideas

this might be fixed with latest set of updates but i'm going to do more testing.

this is still not fixed out of 4 dvd's i tried only 2 worked.

1 stops after about 15mins
1 doesn't play at all.
