Bug Description

Binary package hint: grub-pc

GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT is set to zero and GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET is enabled (default configuration). Pressing escape on startup does not the show boot menu. I hit the escape key multiple times in a second during the complete startup (from pressing the start button tlii xsplash) but without any success.

If you use a hidden timeout of 0 you have to press shift.
ESC can't be detected in this case.

Thanks. It would be nice if some of the description from the wiki can be found in /etc/default/grub, too.
