Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

bug seems to be triggered by the display going to sleep from inactivity, when I go back and move the mouse, I'm confronted with a blank grey screen (my desktop background happens to be gray) and a responsive mouse cursor, but nothing to click on . after a while, I get back the display with metacity as the wm, and a report of compiz crashing.

I have not seen this bug for a long time, it's possible that a recent nvidia driver fixed it, or there is some other reason it has stopped (for me). If I see it crash again , I'll try to provide a backtrace.
