Ctrl+a does not select all of the text

Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

I have opened a PDF file, I Pressed Ctrl + A.
I Expected that all of the text would be selected.
But it did not, it only selected a few characters.
It almost looks like its picking random characters.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Confirmed on Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" alpha 2 with poppler updated to the latest available Ubuntu package.

The same problem also occurs when selecting part of the text with the mouse.

Uname: Linux 2.6.32-10-generic i686

Still occurring on Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" alpha 2 with poppler updated to the latest available Ubuntu package.

The same problem also occurs when selecting part of the text with the mouse.
