Bug Description
Binary package hint: evince
This may be a cups bug rather than evince.
Since upgrading to karmic, printing PDF documents from evince fails silently. Printing test pages and OpenOffice documents work fine. This is to an HP network printer. The job appears in the print queue, then vanishes without an error message. I attach a cups debug log in case this yields useful information.

This is most probably the same problem as reported in bug 419143. You do not get any error message page as probably printing such pages is turned off in your printer. You can turn on this feature by the printer's front panel menues or by its web interface (enter printer's IP in the URL field of your browser).
