telepathy-butterfly crashed with KeyError in add_to_connection()

hello. this crash happens when i start empathy IM.
it does not stop me from using the application however.
i am running updated karmic on amd64

the crash seems to be the same as in #129077, but since this is happening with karmic, i opened a new bug

same problem at every empathy start; no problem if i disable msn account and use icq

problem seems to happen after getting the msn messenger contact list

Upgraded from 9.04 to beta 9.10, and this happens.

I'm on the same system setup and installing telepathy-butterfly_0.5.2-1~ppa9.10+1_all.deb from the PPA fixed the issue for me. It also fixed the problem I was experiencing with no notification popups

the 0.5.2 version is in karmic now btw

there has been no duplicate since 0.5.2 so let's close the bug, you can reopen if you still get it now
