Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-applet

In a recent upgrade to Karmic (26th Sep) the icon for indicator-applet no longer shows. The applet is there and a thin area of blank space is there in which I can click on, but no icon. I am running the Dust theme with Humanity icons and it was working fine before.

I just noticed that when I start Empathy it now causes the indicator-notifier icon to appear. It seems the icon is not displaying when an app is not open.

Have you relogged in since you updated everything? The directories for
the launchers changed and the old version doesn't look in the new
directory. It's important to get the newest version of
indicator-messages and then logout.
