not all yahoo contacts are shown

Binary package hint: pidgin

When I run pidgin and connect to my yahoo account, not all of my online buddies are listed. I sometimes receive messages from them but cannot see them in the list.
Also I am not receiving notices about being added to other peoples buddy lists even though they said they have tried adding me.

Is it possible that these users are in your block list?

Please confirm if you still encounter this problem with the new version 2.6.6 and in Ubuntu 9.10 (latest stable). Thank you

This is also happening to me. But it is not belongs only to Pidgin but Empathy too. I do not have have these contacts blocked. Actually if they contact me the window chat pop ups but still they are not listed in the contact list. Besides if I go to the yahoo mail internall messenger those contacts appears.
I had this problem originally with 10.10 and now with 11.04, always in 32 bits.
