After I did apt-get install -f, this happened:
Setting up openoffice.org-filter-binfilter (1:3.1.1-2ubuntu1) ...
file:///usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/libbf_migratefilterli.so
register component 'file:///usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/libbf_migratefilterli.so' in registry '/var/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/services.rdb' succesful!

Maybe this failed at first because OO.o Writer was open during the installation.

I cannot open any of the openoffice.org programs, and cannot reinstall openoffice.org-filter-binfilter.I am running Xubuntu 9.10 Alpha 6. When I run /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin as ./soffice, from its folder, I get an error referencing libsofficeapp.so. "./soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libsofficeapp.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" It sure would be great to have openoffice working.
