Bug Description

Binary package hint: tangerine-icon-theme

When using the Human icon theme, the panel is the correct height. When I switch to Tangerine, it is forced to grow to accommodate the menu applet icon.

It looks especially bad as I have two screens, each with a panel but only one has the Menu applet, so they're different heights.

I have found out that the problem is missing 24x24 subdirectory in Tangerine's folder (/usr/share/icons/tangerine). I have copied that folder from Ubuntu 9.04 installation - and that fixed the problem.

I attach my 24x24 tangerine folder, you should unpack it to /usr/share/icons/tangerine (do it as root). Hope this will help.

I'm confirming this. After upgrade to Karmic, the some icons from tangerine theme are oversized (in the panel or in tha app menu bar) as if the 24x24 versions were missing.

Changed in tangerine-icon-theme (Ubuntu):
