update manager tells me: )(Reading database ... 285665 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking kdelibs5-data (from .../kdelibs5-data_4%3a4.0.5-0ubuntu1~hardy3_all.deb) ...

You ran out of hard drive space on the partition Kubuntu was installed on.

I am having the same problem. there is 128Gb freespace . The problem is not in kdelibs. It is some file is telling dpkg the disk is full or the wrong error code was produced somewhere.

for me, this all started when i downloaded last.fm from the software center. after it install my computer messed up. for a while i couldnt even access synaptics.
