apport fails to send the report

I don't know if this is an apport or firefox/ubufox problem but after the apport collects the required info and I choose to send it it crashes with this terminal error:
Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'firefox' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
