gdm upstart script loops forever

Bug Description

There's a bug in the geode driver that's preventing X from starting on my OLPC XO. Consequently, when gdm tries to start X, it fails. Gdm apparently exits at this point, and then the upstart script for gdm starts it again, because respawn is specified. I guess gdm could crash for some reason, and in that case you'd maybe want it to restart, but there needs to be something in place to prevent it from just restarting continuously - I had to power down the system and boot a different system in order to disable respawning before I could do anything at all on a tty console.
