Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.04

I have a HP HDX16-1370US Laptop, when I reenable wireless with my hardware switch, it doesn't reenable until I disable and then enable wireless via the networkmanager-applet.

In other words there are no wireless networks discovered even though the checkbox for wireless is checked, then I disable and reenable using the checkbox and suddenly wireless networks are discovered.

I can confirm this bug in 9.04 also in 9.10 the situation got worst. Before I could fix it by switching off and on the wireless network in the the networkmanager applet, now the tick box is not enabled and the only solution is to reboot.

Updating to the latest bios (A14 on my Dell E4300) and kernel solved the problem
