This version of Moovida is not in Ubuntu. Judging from the version number, it seems it comes from this PPA:

Tom can you provide more specific info? Like what files don't get added, are there error logs in the console? If so, what errors?

I had an external device with video files on it the last time I started moovida, but this time that wasn't attached. This time I manually went in and added ~/Videos as a video source, and saw it scanning the right amount of files, but didn't see anything in the Videos library section. The files show up and are playable fine in the unsorted category.

OK that means these files are wrongly named in the locale you're using:

If I undestand correctly, the rest of your files show up correctly in the libraries. Even if they're uncategorized, they're recognized fine. You can thus recategorize them and have them sit in the proper place.

Marking as invalid since there's nothing wrong I can see there.

These file are all music files, and are being skipped appropriately (while the rest of my music files are added to my collection), but this doesn't explain anything about what's happening with the Video files, so I'm changing the status back to "New".

You mean the 'Uncategorized Videos', right? That's where they belong until they are categorized (automatically if possible) as a Movie or TV-Show.

Maybe you could drop in irc://#<email address hidden> so we could solve that one?

@Tom: Moovida issues queries to themoviedb.org and thetvdb.com to try and match cleaned file names against the respective TV and movie databases. If no match is found for a video, it goes to the uncategorized section, and you may then manually categorize it.
Nothing really abnormal here if I understand correctly the issue. Now, of course, there is space for improvement in the way Moovida cleans up and matches file names.

The video files named "flight_of_the_conchords_season_<n>_episode_<m>.avi" should be recognized as TV episodes and categorized as such.
I can confirm that they are not.

It seems that the video parser wrongly detects the file as a movie, and the query issued to themoviedb, as is to be expected, doesn't return any result.

This bug is valid in Moovida 1.0.7 which is in Ubuntu Karmic.
