Bug Description
Binary package hint: gfxboot
Tested on Ubuntu Dapper LiveCD beta2.
General:
- F4: all the items have thin black-with-
- F6: boot options looks rather ugly and never disappear from screen once you click this key
After choosing polish language (F2, Polski):
- 2. menu item ("Start Ubuntu in safe graphic mode") is not translated
- 4. menu item is the same as 3. (CD test), instead of offering memory test
- F6: looks even more ugly (white frame from the left side), and when you can choose normal/expert mode you have two meaningless items "s mode" (instead of "Normal mode"/"Tryb normalny") and "uchamiasz inte" (instead of "Expert mode"/"Tryb zaawansowany"); the box is cut at the right edge of screen, but sometimes it's full and you can read "uchamiasz interfejs tekstowy" ([st]"arting text interface")
- F5: all the items are cut from the left by 1 or 2 chars, making options almost meaningless; moreover it seems like they are not in the right order ("rak" is the 2., and I think it's really "Brak"-"None", which is 1. in english version, and the 6. menu item in polish is blank)
Polish translation should be now updated - there's a new version, which corrects all menu errors.
Unfortunately, this doesn't help with F5 and F6 problems. I was playing around with languages and found, that other versiona also has the same buggy behaviour (tested with german, french and spanish, greek looks like corrupted too), so there is probably something wrong with menus.
