Bug Description

I've two DVD drivers in my computer. A "Liteon DVD-ROM ltd 163" located as hdc and a "Philips DVD+RW-D28" located as hdd.
The problem is with the hdc. If I insert a music CDs or a DVD movies in it, the hdc simply dissappear and refuses to play them. It doesn't happen with Data CDs. To get hdc back on the list I've to eject my hdd.
This doesn't happen if I use my hdd to play music CDs and DVD movies.

I havn't these problems in warty, hoary or breezy.

Ok, this is an interesting bug. One driver affects the other. Are you sure that they are conflicting on the IDE bus (e.g. both are master, or both are slave)? Maybe the cable is bad.

Well, I'm allmost 100% positive that isn't. When I switched from Breezy to Dapper (clean install), it showed up in Dapper.
